Ceilidh at FSC, Millport on the Isle of Cumbrae on 2 June 2023.
It was great to be back at the FSC on Cumbrae, this time as a two-piece providing ceilidh and disco for the last night of an international conference for Phd biology students. It was a terrific night with students from all parts of the globe having a go at the Scottish ceilidh dances. And didn’t they just! The students learned the dances amazingly quickly and stayed on the floor for two rounds of every dance. They were tremendously friendly and appreciative of the Loudon Ceilidh Band’s music. We provided disco towards the end of the evening and they went on dancing into the small hours.
The FSC (Field Studies Council) on the beautiful Isle of Cumbrae is a perfect venue for ceilidh and disco dancing.
